The IOPAX-module board S30810-Q2255-X (Input-Output Processor SCSI and Alarm-Control) enables the control of the peripheral storage unit (CT,HD) within the server. The device serves as a multi-functional module board with the following performance features:
- Control of the SCSI-drive (i.e. cartridge, hard disk) or SPC
- Disturbance-free coupling of SCSI-drives for testing and maintenance
- Operating status- and alarm-signalizing (7-segment-display)
- Battery-buffered clock
- V.24-monitor-interface for tracing- and control-purposes
- DIL-switch for the altering the operational-mode from the IOPA-function (Standard) to the IOPS-function (as previously IOPS-BG), as well as the activation of the SIRIUS-mode
